Holistic and evidence-based mental health support in Michigan & Colorado

Centering embodiment as a road map for healing.

Maybe this sounds like you?

  • You feel things intensely.

  • You’re a perfectionist, chronically restless, alternatively burned out or bored out at work.

  • You feel like sometimes you’re too much. Or not enough.

  • You feel like an outsider — understimulated or over-stressed in response to dominant culture rules and expectations.

  • You’re curious about your relational patterns and why you seem drawn into the same painful experiences again and again.

  • You feel creatively blocked. Or your mind runs wild with creative ideas, but gets tripped up in execution.

  • People, even therapists, have commented on how insightful and self-aware you are. But that doesn’t seem to translate to feeling any better.

  • You want to know yourself deeply.

Modalities

Somatic Experiencing

A type of psychotherapy that focuses on body sensations, emotions, and physical experiences associated with trauma, aiming to release and resolve traumatic stress stored in the body. Developed by Dr. Peter A. Levine, this aids clients in restoring a sense of safety, connection, and vitality in the nervous system.

Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR)

A psychotherapeutic approach that involves bilateral stimulation, often through guided eye movements, to help clients process and alleviate distressing memories and experiences.

Attachment-Focused

Grounded in attachment theory, this therapy aims to explore and deepen the quality of interpersonal relationships, particularly focusing on the impact of early attachment experiences on a person’s emotional well-being.

What happens next?

”Trauma is a fact of life, but it doesn’t have to be a life sentence.” - Dr. Peter Levine, Founder of Somatic Experiencing
